SEPTEMBER 2006
Blackburn Alarms are delighted that ROBERT CHARNOCK - the companies first fully enrolled apprentice - has been given the title of Engineer after successfully completing the first 2 years of his Apprenticeship scheme and passing his NVQ level 2 intruder alarms and CCTV.
As our first apprentice with the company Robert is a shining example of what we expect from our apprentices who show motivation and enthusiasm.
JUNE 2006
The latest addition to the Blackburn Alarms family is Daniel Devitt of Mill Hill, Blackburn.
Daniel was studying at Blackburn College but wanted to start on an Apprenticeship program and was brought to us by Connextions Lancashire.
He has fitted in well with the team and looks forward to starting his college studies this year at Preston College
MAY 2006
Our Second Year Apprentice Robert Charnock and first year Steven Gabryszak took part in the yearly Apprentice Skills challenge at the Birmingham NEC.
Daniel Halenko went down to support them since they were installing to the new European Standards and said they did the company proud.
"Congratulations to the both of them, I hope our future apprentices will continue to take part in the challenge if only for the experience gained".
OCTOBER 2005
OFFICE MANAGER - A newly created role within the company was taken on by David Holmes of Accrington, Lancashire.
With 15 years of industry experience David is looking to help structure the company and we hope will prove a valuable asset to Blackburn Alarms.
MAY 2005
Two of our apprentices entered the SITO two man apprentice challenge held at IFSEC (Birmingham NEC) this year and competed on the 17th May. The challenge was for them to install a simple system, prove it worked and send signals to an receiving centre
**UPDATE** We were proud to hear they won their day�s event and were invited to a prestigious awards night at the Hilton, Park Lane in London where they were awarded second place out of the whole competition.
FEBRUARY 2005
Steven Gabryszak is the new apprentice to join Blackburn Alarms and follow in the footsteps of Robert.
Steven of Accrington, Lancashire recently finished an electrical course at Blackburn College and is looking forward to this new challenge.

Apprentice No.1 Joins the team
Blackburn Alarms are pleased to welcome the first apprentice to our work-force. Robert Charnock of Darwen, Lancashire started on the 3 year Apprenticeship program this month.
