Admiration for super criminals is common, after all they have pulled off the perfect crime! Glamourised by Hollywood blockbusters such as The Italian Job or Oceans 11, the law abiding general public recognise the discipline, intelligence and meticulous organisation required to pull off a successful bank heist.

Yet for every calculating criminal mastermind, there is a bungling burglar! Check out these half-witted criminals, who really were as thick as thieves!

What a dope!

A 20 year old dope dealing dumbbell, was  recently given a 12 month community order after advertising the drug via his Facebook network. His page had a whopping 3000 friends and his profile was public, meaning it could be viewed by anyone who happened to stumble across it.

A Recycled Job…kind of!

Thomas Ashton was caught illegally dumping wooden panels on Elton Street in Salford. Ironically, the man in question had formally been a council employee….where he was responsible for dealing with fly tipping! The man excused himself by stating that storms had blown some of the fence away and this was a factor in his following actions….

Escape Room

A gang of trouble causing youths smashed into a Stockport garage! Intent on causing damage to the interior of the garage, the gang also destroyed the door lock which prevented them from escaping! After starting to panic, the youths yelled for help and one obliging man did so….by ringing the fire brigade, who opened the door and handed the perpetrators to the police.

At the next police station….turn left!

When car thieves steal a luxury car…do they use the Sat Nav? Apparently not, for when two car thieves recently stole a luxury Mercedes they took a wrong turn…straight into a police station! As two marked police cars pulled him behind them, they stupidly thought they had been nicked and tried to make an escape…They found themselves shortly locked up in police custody.
