We’re big fans of crime prevention! Of course as a rule we like to use ultra-reliable and highly effective alarm systems to deter would-be thieves, arsonists and vandals from accessing properties … but every now and then it takes a little something extra.
That’s certainly the case with teenager Adam Toms and his dad Trevor, from Thorpe Bay.
When Emil Metodiev attempted to steal from their home in the early hours of the morning, he got more than he bargained for when he found Tom and Trevor (replete in pyjamas and dressing gowns) chasing him down the street!
Metodiev was captured, along with a haul of cash, jewellery, war medals and credit cards, not far from the local library after the pair scaled garden fences in their pursuit, and alerted local police to his whereabouts.
